November 26, 2025 – Hubertus, WI – Students from Crown of Life School in Hubertus are chasing a World Record as 131 students participated in the 2025 STACK UP! event.

Speed Stacking is a competitive sport of cup-stacking. Now, students at Crown of Life await final verifications from Guinness World Records to find out if their participation helped stackers from around the world achieve the “Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations” world record.
Students were trying to exceed last year’s record of 752,632 people stacking in one day; this year’s goal was 775,000.
The event took place on Guinness World Record Day, November 20. At Crown of Life’s STACK UP, students and faculty rotated through the gym for class-specific sessions and then came together for an all-school stacking extravaganza.

Activities included races such as dribbling a basketball while stacking, chase-stacking (a game of tag while trying to rapidly stack your cups before you are caught), cup-writing, stacking with a partner, large pyramids, and—of course—the classic stacking challenges that are signatures of the sport: racing to build stacks of 3-3-3, 3-6-3, and completing the Cycle.

Students were invited to contribute 12 same-size food items to help Stock UP! a local food pantry (Full Shelf in West Bend was this year’s recipient); students then raced to stack their food contributions.
Families were invited to join in the excitement, including some grandparents who experienced the sport on Grandparents’ Day earlier this year.
Crown of Life currently holds eight individual Wisconsin records in the sport of Speed Stacking; the school was part of last year’s World Record.
