Obituary | Dennis H. Genger, 70, of Hartford

December 3, 2020 – Hartford, WI – Dennis H. Genger, 70, of Hartford, WI passed away suddenly, December 1, 2020 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. He was born July 28, 1950 to Harold and Verna (Beilfuss) Genger. Dennis graduated in 1969 from Hartford Union High School and was united in marriage on September 18, 1976 to Theresa Becker at St. Mary’s Woodland, WI.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Dennis worked at Grande Cheese Co. Rubicon, then he worked at Westside Dairy in Hartford and Foremost Dairy-Waukesha for about 36 years. He also helped his parents on the family farm. Dennis was a member of the Resorted Antique Tractor Club ”RATS” and the Dodge County Antique Power Club in Burnett, WI.

He enjoyed going on tractor rides with tractor club, going to Baraboo and parades and he always enjoyed taking his granddaughter Taylea for rides with the biggest smile.
Dennis loved going to the tractor pulls, camping at Grand Valley campground in Kingston, WI. He loved fishing for trout and pan fishing with his buddies. He also enjoyed his hit and miss engines, especially his Sandwich engines, model engines, domestic engines and Galloway engines. He loved taking them to shows and was so very proud of them. Dennis enjoyed their trip they took to Alaska with the friend Joyce. He will be remembered for always having a happy smile.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa Genger of 44 years; sons, Bryan (fiancé Tammy), Keith (Dawn), Tony (Shannon); granddaughter, Taylea; brother, Theodore; in-laws, Carl and Dawn Becker, Hilary and Linda Becker, Gerald and fiancé Sue, Marian and Michael Strupp, Roger and Diane Becker, Henry and Denise Becker, Leo and Linda Becker; also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Verna Genger, In-laws Alfons and Marie Becker.

In lieu of flowers donations to the American Heart Association are greatly appreciated. The family will have a small private family service and later they will have a public celebration of life when conditions are better.
