West Bend, WI – Some days are meant to be spent at the farm. Sunday was one of those days at Schmidt Century Farm, where the pace was slower, the conversations lasted a little longer, and the history seemed to be tucked into every corner… along with a cat.
Kids jumped on hay bales, a rumbling red tractor pulled a wagon through the farm field, rabbits, goats, and a little donkey were hand-fed their share of sweet carrots, and shopping for fresh milk, eggs, and beef just felt a little more traditional on the farm.

The old buildings, wide-open fields and familiar sights offered a reminder that some of the best stories aren’t found in books. They’re found on the land, passed from one generation to the next. Schmidt Century Farm is a working farm now in its fifth generation of family.Â

It was a beautiful fall day, a beautiful farm and a pretty wonderful way to spend a Sunday.
