September 4, 2025 – Town of Polk, WI – On Thursday, September 4, 2025, the Slinger Fire Department was dispatched to the 3100 Block of Scenic Road in the town of Polk, for a detached garage fire. Visible smoke and flames were reported from a passerby and emergency services were contacted.

While en-route, the incident commander upgraded the incident to the working still level for additional resources to respond.
Upon arrival, crews found an approximate 12’ x 24’ concrete block garage fully involved with fire and minimal contents inside.
An engine company worked defensively on the fire and it was brought under control with no further extension or property damage.

No injuries occurred and the building was a complete loss. Crews remained on scene for just over an hour completing overhaul and clean up.
The incident is under investigation by fire investigators with an undetermined cause at this time. No further information is expected to be released.
