Hwy 45 resurfacing in Kewaskum; Public Involvement Meeting slated for Monday, August 8 by WisDOT

Kewaskum, WI – Taxpayers in the Village of Kewaskum received a postcard in the mail this week from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) which will be holding a Public Involvement Meeting regarding Hwy 45 resurfacing on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Kewaskum Municipal Building Annex, 1308 Fond Du Lac Ave., Kewaskum.

WisDOT is proposing to resurface 1.2 miles of Hwy 45 from westbound Hwy H to westbound Hwy 28 in the village of Kewaskum. The project is scheduled for 2023. The purpose of the project is to address the pavement deterioration and poor ride quality that can no longer be maintained.

Proposed improvements include:

Improve the pavement by resurfacing the roadway
Signal improvements at the Hwy 45 and Hwy H intersection
Curb ramp upgrades to meet ADA requirements
Replace pavement marking
Local water main and sanitary sewer replacement
