Town of Jackson, Wi – James W. Lydon, 87, of the Town of Jackson, WI died Saturday, July 5, 2025 at his residence. He was born October 2, 1937 in La Crosse to Jack and Margaret (nee Wampach) Lydon.

On February 7, 1959 he was united in marriage to Ann Hazelwood in La Crosse. She preceded him in death on January 12, 2022.
Jim was very proud of his military service and was stationed in Japan at the end of the Korean Conflict. When his children were their teens, he became a Boy Scout Leader and mentored many young men.
Jim worked as an accountant and owned A&J Accounting along with his wife, Ann. After tax season they always took a road trip, often visiting historical sites around the country such as civil war battlefields, cemeteries and other areas of interest.
He had a dry sense of humor that gave some pause as they tried to figure out if he was telling the truth or joking around. Jim had many interests but particularly enjoyed playing Sheepshead, fishing and collecting coins and stamps.
Family was very important to Jim. When his brother, Jerry came home from the Vietnam war he and Ann welcomed him into their home while he adjusted to being back. He and Ann also spent a lot of time with their long-time friends Darrell and Barb.
Jim is survived by his 4 children: Robert (Arleen) of Richfield, William of the Town of Jackson, Theresa (Dave) Koehler of West Bend and Sue (Ryan Sr.) Dreikosen of Grafton and 10 grandchildren: Cassie, Kourtney, Kelsey, Shyanne, Emma, Brianna, Al, Jon, Nicole and Ryan. He is further survived by 8 great-grandchildren: his brother Tom (Lisa) of Blair, WI, a sister-in-law Peggy Lydon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Margaret Lydon, his wife Ann Lydon, his granddaughter Elise Lydon and 2 brothers Jerry and Jack Lydon.
We would like to extend a special and heartfelt Thank You to Helping Hands and especially to his caregiver Isaiah from Touching Hearts at Home and Aurora at Home Hospice for their kindness and loving care given to our dad.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jim and Ann Lydon will be held on Wednesday, July 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, W204 N11940 Goldendale Road, Germantown with Rev. Howard Haase presiding. They will be buried together following the Mass in St. Boniface Cemetery. The family will greet visitors on Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
