We extend a special invitation to veterans, current military personnel, reservists, and their families. Even if you have no connection to the armed forces at all, please consider joining us for this very memorable program honoring our service men and women.

In addition to centering on God’s Word, our program this year will focus on the POW / MIA.

KML uses a four-year rotation of themes for our Veterans Day observance:

  • Flag-Folding Ceremony (2019)
  • POW / MIA (2016)
  • The Story Behind the Origin of Taps (2017)
  • While Families Wait (2018)

“This is the first year we attended the Veterans Day program and all the good things we have heard about the program are certainly true. It was emotional, it was community, it was a message of appreciation for the time these men and women have spent in the military, as well as their families who supported them, and the word ‘sacrifice’ certainly needs to include the sacrifice of God’s own son, Jesus. Thank you for honoring the Veterans, but even more so for keeping your student body in touch with the ongoing sacrifice of those who serve and have served. What better way than for them to see faces of people they know!

Again, our thanks!”
