September 28, 2026 – Slinger, Wi – Leland “Sam” E. Abraham, 88, of Slinger, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
Sam was born on March 19, 1938, in Waupaca, Wisconsin, to parents Carl and Leone (nee Borchardt) Abraham. He was united in marriage to Gloria Wendt on November 4, 1967.
Throughout his life, Sam had a love for cars and enjoyed sailing in his younger years. He especially loved playing golf whenever he had the chance and was a longtime member of the Hartford Golf Club. Sam and Gloria enjoyed the many years they spent together in Florida. Above all, Sam cherished time spent with his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Sam is survived by his wife, Gloria Abraham; daughters, Kristen (Jim) Gardinier, Susan (Scott) Stoffel, and Mary Jo Brugger; grandchildren, Ben (Kelsey Schellinger) Stoffel, Monica (Travis) Kearns, Blake (Erica) Stoffel, Garrett (Jenna Werner) Brugger, Grant (Kayla Choromanski) Brugger; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Leone Abraham, and his son, Steven Klinger.
Sam’s family will honor his life with a private celebration of life.
