Main Street meeting in Village of Newburg is Monday, April 25, 2022

This will be an in-person meeting, but details to attend remotely through Zoom are also provided below.

The Village Board of Trustees, Village Administrator, Village Engineer, and Village Planner will be holding a public discussion on fully revitalizing Newburg’s Main Street area in the coming years.  Please join in this important conversation at 6pm on Monday, April 25, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Newburg, where we will discuss:

         Reasoning for the perceived need for the project.

         Costs estimated at $4.3 million.  Potential tax impacts.  Grant opportunities.

         Timelines for potential roadway closures.

         Impacts to home and business access.

         Graphics showing potential changes for parking, corners, sidewalks, and walkways.

This is an initial and basic meeting aimed at helping members of the public understand why Main Street may be reconstructed in the coming years and what elements of the planning process the village is grappling with as next steps are determined.

Attendees will be provided with a hand-out of answers to “Frequently Asked Questions” or FAQs about the project, and will have the opportunity to both ask questions and share their opinions.

Village resident and business-owner input is very important to the Village.  Please share your thoughts and concerns BEFORE the village takes the next steps in planning or engineering design.
