Man injured in Town of Barton fire | By Sgt. Alexander Herriges

Town of Barton, Wi – On Friday, September 12, 2025, at 2:16 a.m. the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a structure fire at a campsite in the 7500 block of Good Luck Lane in the Town of Barton.

The fire was reported by a neighbor in the area who observed a nearby trailer that was fully engulfed in flames.

Upon the arrival of deputies on scene, a male subject was located with burns to his leg and torso.  He was identified as the owner and sole occupant of the trailer.

The subject was later transported to a local hospital by West Bend Rescue.  The West Bend Fire Department also responded to the scene and was assisted by the Kewaskum Fire Department.

Property loss management

The trailer and its contents were considered a total loss with an estimated value of $50,000.  The origin of the fire did not appear to be suspicious in nature, and it is believed to have originated in the propane furnace of the trailer.
