Richard A. Stuettgen, age 71 of Neosho, Wisconsin passed away at the Aurora Medical Center in Hartford on Friday, December 11, 2015, with his loving wife by his side.
Richard was born on March 9, 1944 in Richfield, WI to John A. and Bernice (nee Kuhn) Stuettgen. He was united in marriage to Ofelia M. Toledo on August 11, 1980 at Holy Hill in Hubertus, WI. He worked with his family on the Stuettgen farm most of his life. Earlier in life, Richard enjoyed racing at the Slinger Speedway and throughout life he was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed meeting friends for morning coffee and the time spent with his family.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Ofelia M. Stuettgen; dear step-son, Jose Roberto (Claire) Canda Sr.; cherished step-grandchildren, Nicole, Nadine, and Jose R. Canda Jr.; his dear brother, Jerome “Jerry” (Katherine) Stuettgen; nieces and nephews, Carol (Ray) Schowalter, Paul Stuettgen, Janet (Randy) Johnson, and David (Molly) Stuettgen. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law.
Mass of Christian Burial for Richard will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 12:00p.m./ NOON at St. John’s Catholic Church (W1170 Rome Road –Rubicon, WI 53078) with Fr. David LaPlante officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 10:30a.m.-12:00p.m.
Interment in St. John’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Rubicon, WI.
