Obituary | Bethana Ellen Peters (nee Boyung), 84, of Town of West Bend, Wi

She was born on July 31, 1941, to Edwin and Edna (nee Ruhnke) and was united in marriage to Gerald G. Peters on September 17, 1959 in the Town of West Bend, Wisconsin.  Bethana graduated from West Bend High School and received a degree from Moraine Park Technical College.

Bethana possessed kindness, creativity, and great affection and deep love for her family which shaped every part of her life.  She enjoyed upholstery, crocheting, baking, polka dancing, and the Christmas season.

Bethana will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her sense of humor, and her unwavering love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as the countless ways she made life more beautiful for all those around her.

Her presence will be deeply missed, and her memory will remain forever in the hearts of all who loved her.

Bethana is survived by her 7 children: Michael (Sheree) of Roberts, WI, Steven (Celia) of Necedah, WI, Jim of West Bend, WI, Darryl (Tracy) of Plymouth, WI, Susan (Rodney) Roskopf of Edgar, WI, Thomas of Hartford, WI, and Brian (Theresa) of Roseville, MN and 15 grandchildren: Steven Jr. (Stephanie) Peters, Clinton Peters and Jacqueline (Kenny) Hamm, Benjamin, Grace and Sophia Peters, Jason (Kristin) and Sylvia Peters, Jonathan (Rhianna), Jason, Jacob (Kaitlyn) and Rachel Roskopf, and Isabella, Abigail and Olivia Peters. She is further survived by her 8 great-grandchildren: Lylah, Macy and Korbin Peters, Madelyn and Evelyn Hamm, Freyja Peters, Holden Roskopf, and Parker Roskopf; 1 sibling: Jean Weichelt and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Bethana is preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Edna, her husband Gerald Peters;  siblings, Donald (Mary) Boyung, Edwin (Rosemary) Boyung, Doreen (Abraham) Miller, (Elmer) Weichelt.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 8, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend with Rev. Dan Hummel officiating. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday, at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.
