Obituary | Orval L. Roeseler, 87, of Hartford

December 1, 2020 – Hartford, WI – Orval L. Roeseler, 87, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020. He was born in Oakfield on July 18, 1933 to parents Paul and Lydia (Waldschmidt) Roeseler.

Orval proudly served his country in the US Navy from October 1956 – November 1957, serving on the U.S. Battleship Wisconsin. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Steinmann on September 2, 1961 at Peace Lutheran Church, Hartford. Orval retired from Broan Mfg with over 30 years of service. He also volunteered at Aurora Health Care in Hartford, Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford and Bethesda Lutheran Church in Horicon.

Orval is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann; two sons, Keith (Jodi) and Dale (Lisa) both of Fond du Lac, three grandchildren, Holly (Adam) Hackbarth of Ripon, Ashley (Cameron) Winkler and Zach Nush, both of Fond du Lac; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Emily, Declan and Ella; brother, Delmar (Betty) Roeseler; sister-in-law, Delores Behnke; also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Orval is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law; siblings, Elmer, Wilmer, Margaret Paskey, Ruth (Alfred) Friesen, Doris (George) Loomans, Ardis (Arnold) Herman, twin sister, Orva (Lloyd) Neuman and brother-in-law, Harvey Behnke.

Funeral Services for Orval will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 1001 Center St., Hartford on Monday, December 7 at 2 p.m.

Visitation at the Church from 12 Noon until the time of service. Committal and Military Honors to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Wearing of masks and social distancing will be followed.

The family would like to thank the staff at Waterford of Hartford and the nurses with Heartland Hospice for their care and support of Orval. Memorials in Orval’s name are appreciated to Peace Lutheran Church, Alzheimer’s Association, or the donor’s choice.
