Patrol boats dispatched to Silver Lake for man in the water | By Washington County Sheriff

June 12, 2025 – Town of West Bend, Wi – The Washington County Sheriff’s dispatched West Bend Fire Department and the WCSO patrol boat to Silver Lake in the Town of West Bend, Wi, this week for a report of a boat sinking with two occupants.

A good Samaritan towed the boat to the pubic boat launch on a jet ski as first responders arrived. At one point the driver of the sinking boat, a 40-year-old West Bend man, fell into the water but was thrown a personal flotation device. No injuries.

Nobody was injured.

The driver said he accelerated too fast, and the boat took on water.  I am not sure if West Bend Fire even had their boat in the water.  Washington County Sheriff did not put a boat in the water.

The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon, June 11, 2025 around 4:25 p.m. The boat went under where the dot is in the picture.
