Campbellsport, Wi – The 2025 Classic Green Reunion is underway. It is a field of John Deere Green and yellow tractors surrounded by neighbors walking around in bib overalls and reminiscing about their first tractor.
Norman Gudex, 94, grew up in Campbellsport. “I never owned one but my brother had a 1946 B and my other brother had a 1949 B,” he said.
Gravely voiced and leaning on his walker, Gudex remembered driving the tractors before he was drafted into the Army.
“They were easy to cultivate with,” he said. “I couldn’t get off of it.”
Gudex said his dad had a 50-acre farm and his brother had about 200 acres in Campbellsport. The farm is the Sam Ber Tom Farm on Haven Drive in Campbellsport, WI.
The Classic Green Reunion runs through Saturday, June 14, 2025. Don’t forget Washington County Breakfast on the Farm starts serving at 7 a.m. on Saturday and Tom Schwai is on site with his famous brats and fish fry this Friday, June 13, 2025.
