Campbellsport, WI – The doors are open again at the Sandpiper Inn in Campbellsport, and owner Eric Schairer is welcoming customers back to a restaurant that feels both familiar and refreshed. After a month of work, the popular spot on Lake Bernice has completed an extensive remodel, adding features Schairer said were inspired directly by customer feedback.
“We really wanted to open up the space and make it more comfortable,” said Schairer. “We heard from our guests, and this remodel was about making sure they have the best experience possible.”
Inside, the bar has been reconfigured for extra seating, walls have been removed to create a more open-concept dining room, and the bathrooms were fully renovated to improve ADA accessibility.

The updates mean Friday fish fries and Sunday chicken dinners – traditions at the Sandpiper – can now be enjoyed with more elbow room.
The biggest change, however, is outdoors.
In front, a much-needed wooden ramp has been added off the west parking lot. The ramp provides ADA accessibility; something customers have been requesting for years.
Out back, a new patio has been added complete with comfortable seating and tables, overlooking Lake Bernice, giving customers a scenic place to relax before dinner or enjoy a drink after.

“Having that view of the lake while you wait or just sit and visit – that’s something special,” Schairer said.
The menu remains rooted in what made the Sandpiper a local favorite. Broasted chicken, a signature dish, is served daily alongside the popular Friday fish fry.
Diners can also carry out family-style chicken buckets or settle in to watch the Packers on one of the bar’s several televisions.
The Sandpiper Inn, W2992 Elmore Drive, Campbellsport, is open Wednesday and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Sundays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Schairer said he’s eager to see regulars and new customers alike. “It’s been exciting to bring this place back to life. Now we’re ready to welcome everyone in and make new memories together on Lake Bernice.”
