Washington County, WI – Like many community members, United Way of Washington County recently learned of the closure of a major regional food pantry. This change is expected to impact more than 250 Washington County families. With rising food and transportation costs, the United Way of Washington County understands this closure will increase food insecurity during an already challenging time.

United Way of Washington County funds the 211 Helpline where local trained specialists are available for free to connect residents with local programs and services, including food assistance.
The 211 Helpline is confidential and available 24/7 in 180+ languages. In addition to food assistance, the 211 Helpline can connect you to resources for everyday and emergency needs, including housing assistance, mental health support, help with addiction, healthcare access and more.
Washington County residents are encouraged to call 211 from their phone (1-877-947-2211), text their 5-digit zip code to 898211, download the 211 app on the App Store or Google Play store, or visit https://211wisconsin.communityos.org/.
