Washington Co., WI – On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, United Way of Washington County launches its 89th annual campaign with Packing for a Purpose, a high-energy volunteer event where more than 400 volunteers will assemble over 15,000 snack packs for 25+ local nonprofit partners and schools serving children and seniors.
Check out a video from a couple years ago where over 350 volunteers filled 60,000 packages of soup and cereal to help people in need. Who do you recognize?
“This event is a great way to help fight hunger in Washington County where 1-in-14 residents received Foodshare benefits last year,” said Kristin Brandner executive director of United Way of Washington County.

For three hours 33 teams representing 22 local organizations packaged bags of soup and cereal in one of the biggest food drives in Washington County history.
