Town of Calumet, WI – At approximately 7:04 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a school bus on County W, just west of St. Paul Road.

Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Town of Calumet Fire Department and Mt. Calvary Ambulance, responded to the scene.
Preliminary investigation revealed an eastbound passenger car struck the rear of the stopped school bus while it’s warning lights and stop arm where activated. The bus was carrying approximately 12 children at the time of the crash, all of whom were uninjured.
The driver of the passenger car, a 56-year-old woman from Malone, suffered minor injuries and was transported for treatment. The female driver reported direct sunlight may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
No further injuries were reported. The incident remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
