Watertown Teen Dies In Dodge County Accident

On June 20, 2016 at 3:45 p.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on Welsh Road under the Hwy 26 bridge in the Township of Emmet, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Preliminary investigation showed that Gabrielle K. Spende (16) of rural Watertown was operating a 1999 Cadillac, traveling south on Welsh road entering a curve in the roadway.  The Cadillac slid in a clockwise direction, and then struck a bridge pillar.  Spende was flown from the scene by Flight for Life to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee, but died from her injuries today.

Assisting at the scene was Watertown Police, Watertown Fire, Watertown Paramedics and Flight for Life helicopter.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
