WEST BEND EAST HIGH 6, HARTFORD HIGH 1
West Bend East defeated Hartford in the opening match of the conference season on Tuesday at West Bend. Â Drama was high at the two singles and one doubles positions. Â East won at both spots, but required three sets to do so. Â At one doubles seniors and captains Ben Johnson and Andrew Steiner fought through a second set slump to close out the match in decisive fashion, while Colton Harris had to come back from down 5-3 in the third set tiebreak. Â Hartford picked up their win at four singles, where Kevin Kreuser won in two solid sets.
