West Bend, WI – The Memorial Day parade in West Bend will step off at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 26. This year we’ll treat you to a special presentation of the 2002 Memorial Day Parade and you will be amazed at some of the people you will see in the video including a very young Assembly Rep. Glenn Grothman, State Senator Mary Panzer, lot of veterans including vets who served at Pearl Harbor. There are horses in a Civil War brigade, and the D.A.R.E. graduating class all marching in the parade.
There are many familiar faces including mayor Mike Miller and County Administrator Ken Miller. Former alderman Tom O’Meara was spotted marching in the parade, and you’ll be amazed at all the veterans including a couple from WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam, and Desert Storm.

The number of students participating in the school bands was also amazing. I believe Bob Ditmar was spotted with the WBHS band. The River City Irregulars also had a strong turnout.

The parade route started at Silverbrook and made its way south down Sixth Avenue in front of the public library to the Old Courthouse Square at Fifth Avenue and Poplar Street.
