September 22, 2025 – Kewaskum, WI – At approximately 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2025, the Kewaskum Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting a woman armed with a knife inside Kohn’s Filling Station, located at 890 Fond du Lac Avenue.
Upon arrival, an officer located the individual outside near the gas pumps, still holding the knife.
The officer drew his duty weapon and gave verbal commands for the woman to drop the knife. She complied and was safely taken into custody without further incident.
The investigation determined the woman was experiencing a mental health crisis and has a documented history of substance abuse. She was placed under a Chapter 51 Emergency Detention and transported to a hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Charges will be referred to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office for Recklessly Endangering Safety and two counts of Bail Jumping.
