Woman shot in Grafton man in custody | By Ozaukee Co. Sheriff

October 25, 2025 – Ozaukee Co., Wi – On Friday, October 24, 2025, at approximately 3:50pm the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a domestic violence related incident actively occurring at the residence in the 2000 block of Lake Shore Road in the Town of Grafton.

Grafton Police Officers were first to arrive, announced their presence and entered the residence. A woman was heard calling for help. As officers approached her location, a male subject fired multiple shots, striking the woman.

The suspect, a 53-year-old male resident, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ozaukee County Jail.

The victim, a 48-year-old female resident, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Aurora Medical Center in Grafton and transported by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital.

No officers or deputies were injured during the incident. There is no ongoing threat to the public, as this was an isolated incident.

The incident remains under investigation and a request for charges will be forthcoming.
