Nov. 7, 2016 – Frederick G. Marker “Fred” “Derf”, age 74 of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at The Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.

Fred was born on January 30, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI to Alex and Christina (nee Shadt) Marker. He was united in marriage to Barbara H. Schmidt on March 5, 1960 in Milwaukee.  Fred enjoyed camping with Barb and their friends, hunting, and fishing. He was a long time member and cook at the Stone Bank Sportsmen’s Club in Oconomowoc.

Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Barbara Marker; loving children, Jeff (friend, Trea) of Waterford, Lori (friend, Rolfe) Marker of Hartford, and Lisa (Steve) Lytge of Hartford; cherished grandchildren, Corrine (Darrell), Christopher, Justin, Rachel and great-grandchildren, Connor, Carson, and Damian. He is further survived by his dog, “Chappy,” other dear relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law; and siblings, Harold, Arnold Marker, and Lorraine Asen.

A Celebration of Fred’s life will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the Town Hall in Erin (1846 State Highway 83 South Hartford, WI 53027) **Please check back for confirmed times of gathering.

Barb would like to share her sincere appreciation to Fred’s best friend, James Etzel; Barb’s best friend, Gail Rupp; and their dear friends “kids”, Bruce and Sherri Wankowski for their care and support, and being there for them during this difficult time. Your compassion and time will never be forgotten.
