Feb. 7, 2017 – Hartford, WI – James R. “Jim” Proebsting of the town of Hartford died on Monday, February 6, 2017 in Door County at the age of 56 years. He was born on June 15, 1960 in Appleton to David and Sue (nee Beglinger) Proebsting.
As a child, his family moved to Hartford, where he made many treasured life-long friends. After graduating from Hartford Union High School with the Class of 1978, he served with the United States Army. After his discharge, he returned to Wisconsin, and worked as a dental laboratory technician. In 1990, he started his own business, Probe Ceramic Studio.
On September 19, 2009, he was united in marriage to Julie Bloy on Round Lake aboard the Chief Waupaca.
Our family has lost a vibrant part of its amazing core. His playful sense of humor, gigantic laugh, and his unending enthusiasm for living life to the fullest will be greatly missed. Jim’s competitive nature was evident on the high school swim team, on the golf course, poker table, epic Waupaca bocce tournaments and simply at the family game table. May the Jimmy stories live on forever in our hearts…
