Feb. 12, 2018 – West Bend, WI – Muriel E. Laufer (nee Moths), 93, of West Bend. The angels delivered her to heaven on Friday, February 9, 2018.

She was born on May 1, 1924 to the late Alvin and Edna (nee Schoedel) Moths. On February 15, 1947 she was united in marriage to Francis Laufer at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend.

She worked at Enger-Kress and later the West Bend School District, but her true calling in life was her family. She was incredibly proud to raise her children and delighted in being a grandmother.

Muriel’s strong Christian faith guided and supported her throughout her life, and she passed those values on to her family with each generation to follow. Always caring and supportive, she took a sincere interest in the lives of her friends, children, and grandchildren. The outpouring of well wishes and support following her passing is evidence of how many lives she touched during her lifetime. Her family will keep her memory alive and well each time they gather to laugh and drink beer together. Despite rarely imbibing, Muriel raised a family of enthusiasts who loved to offer a glass to her, much to her laughing chagrin.

Those Muriel leaves behind to cherish her memory include her five children, James (Donna) Laufer of Kewaskum, Sue Ann (Tom) Cramer of Tower MN, Lori (Charles) of Beaver Dam, Janice (Edward) Haug of West Bend, and Lee (Nathan Walker) Laufer of Bayside; twelve grandchildren, Angela (Brad) Bell, Jacqueline (Steve) Wearing, Melanie (Michael) Raj, Daniel Cramer, Gary Cramer, Jenna (Craig) Smith, Tyler (Fiancée Jesse Peroceski) Cramer, Matthew (Beth) Schaus, Julie Schaus, Russell Haug, Holly Haug, and Nicholas (Kate) Haug; ten great grandchildren, Sydney, Ethan, Jack, Madison, Carissa, Aaron, Jacey, Peyton, Tucker, and Carsten; a sister-in-law, Dauna Moths; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
