Nov. 1, 2016 – Barton, WI – There was some stiff competition over the weekend at St. Mary’s in Barton that left quite a few people smiling and at least three judges holding their bellies…. a pie contest at the Harvest Moon Celebration.
While some folks danced and other posed for old-school photos sitting in the moon, three local judges put the business end of their fork into 17 pies.
With a critical eye and discerning palate West Bend Mayor Kraig Sadownikow, local DJ Bob Bonenfant and St. Frances Cabrini Rev. Justin put on their culinary face. The winners are posted below.
A $25 gift certificate from Jokers 5 went to Marlene Bechler for presentation.
A $25 gift certificate from Over the Moon for 1st place in the pie tasting category to Joan Hetzel.
A $10 gift certificate from Maricio’s for 2nd place in the pie tasting category to Joan Casseta.
A $10 gift certificate from Maricio’s for 3rd place in the pie tasting category to Dick Rowley.
