June 17, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Each day, the Kettle Moraine YMCA works side-by-side with its neighbors to strengthen our community.
During the month of May the Russ Darrow Group committed to donating a portion of its car sales to the Y through the Send a Kid to Camp Campaign.
The Darrow Groups $7,500 donation gives local kids in need the opportunity to attend Y Summer Day Camp, having the same opportunity as other kids to explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence and make lasting friendships and memories.
Last year, 16% of local kids who attended Y Summer Day Camp received financial assistance through the Y’s Annual Campaign. Throughout the summer, the Y is able to provide 2,400 minutes of outdoor activities, 300 minutes of swimming each week, 12 fun field trips and zero minutes of cell phones or social media use!
