Slinger Owls advance with a comeback victory | By Ron Naab

March 1, 2020 – Slinger, WI – Saturday night was a hair puller for the Slinger fans, especially coach Tony Dobson for the first ¾ of the game.

At the end of the first half Grafton Black Hawks were in the lead with a 23 to 19 score.

Slinger was plagued with 10 turnovers in the first half. The second half started with the Lady Owls tying the game and the Team limited its turnovers in the second half to 5 which allowed them in the final few minutes to take control of the score and keep the lead.

Final score was Slinger Owls with 46 points and Grafton Black Hawks 39.

Leading the Owls was Senior Anna Breuer with 13 points. Fourteen points put Mya Masse as the lead scorer for Grafton.

March 1, 2020 – Slinger, WI – Next up for the Lady Owls is to meet up with Beaver Dam Golden Beavers on Thursday evening.  Beaver Dam beat the Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes 72-43, Saturday afternoon.  The location for the game to be played has not yet been posted.

Two Division 1 county teams will match up on Thursday at Appleton East High School.

Germantown beat 8th seed Brookfield East 74-57 and they will play West Bend West in the sub-sectional
