The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 20-year-old Milwaukee woman after a traffic stop this morning at 2:24 a.m.  The Washington County Sheriff’s deputy observed the driver’s vehicle southbound on US 45 near Pleasant Valley Road traveling 47 mph with a defective headlamp. The deputy initiated a traffic stop.  The operator continued south on US 45 maintaining her speed and activated her emergency flashers.  The driver then exited at Hwy 60 and proceeded west onto Tillie Lake Rd. where she stopped in a parking lot.  Upon making contact with the driver, the deputy noted the odor of marijuana from within the vehicle, noticed an open bottle of wine on the front floorboard and an unusual amount of new toiletry items packed into the vehicle.  A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded a small amount of marijuana and documents that suggested the toiletry items were purchased fraudulently in the City of West Bend. The documents and associated evidence were confiscated and turned over to West Bend Police.  During the on scene investigation, the driver began to have a panic attack and was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital by Jackson Rescue.  After medical clearance she was taken into custody for misdemeanor eluding, operation while suspended, open intoxicants and possession of marijuana.
