West Bend, WI – Students and parishioners display US flags in front of the St. Frances Cabrini Church in honor of those who gave their lives for our freedoms.

Students from St. Frances Cabrini K3 and K4 joined Rev. Strand and Deacon Nicholas Waddell in placing flags along Seventh Avenue in West Bend, WI.

Participants included 208 students along with several parishioners who attended morning Mass.
The red, white, and blue flags added a brilliant salute over the Memorial Day weekend.
“It is important to teach kids about Memorial Day as there have been many that have paid the ultimate sacrifice for this country,” said Principal William Waech.  “Because of their sacrifice we as Catholics are able to practice our faith free from oppression.  Setting these flags out and having students pray for those that made that ultimate sacrifice is a small thing we can do to show our appreciation.”
