Feb. 3, 2017 – West Bend, WI – The UW-WC Wildcats lost a tough one Friday night against Fox Valley Tech 72-52.
The Wildcats battled to get the lead down to just six points halfway through the third quarter. Â However, they played from behind all night and it eventually caught up to them in the fourth quarter as the lead grew to double digits.
Washington County couldn’t buy a basket as they shot just 27% from the field. Â However, they held the Foxes to just 34% including only 24% from the field.
The Foxes also had a 63 to 40 rebounding advantage that lead to easy second-chance opportunities.
Megan Breuer led the Wildcats for the second straight game with 24 points. Â Ciara Dricken added 17 points by shooting 5/6 from the free throw line.
Kim Zimmel led the team with 10 rebounds and dished out four assists. Â The Wildcats have a week off before they take on WLC, Monday Feb. 13.
