UW-WC meets a tough challenge in Fox Valley Tech By Jacob Schmick

Feb. 3, 2017 – West Bend, WI – The UW-WC Wildcats lost a tough one Friday night against Fox Valley Tech 72-52.

The Wildcats battled to get the lead down to just six points halfway through the third quarter.  However, they played from behind all night and it eventually caught up to them in the fourth quarter as the lead grew to double digits.

Washington County couldn’t buy a basket as they shot just 27% from the field.  However, they held the Foxes to just 34% including only 24% from the field.

The Foxes also had a 63 to 40 rebounding advantage that lead to easy second-chance opportunities.

Megan Breuer led the Wildcats for the second straight game with 24 points.  Ciara Dricken added 17 points by shooting 5/6 from the free throw line.

Kim Zimmel led the team with 10 rebounds and dished out four assists.  The Wildcats have a week off before they take on WLC, Monday Feb. 13.
