December 22, 2025 – Hartford, Wi – A Powerball ticket purchased at the Citgo, W346 Luedtke Lane in Hartford, WI, matched four of five numbers plus the Powerball in the December 20 drawing, locking in a $50,000 lottery win for one lucky player.

According to the Wisconsin Lottery the numbers were 4-5-28-52-69 with Powerball 20, a combination that proved especially kind to Wisconsin this weekend.
The Hartford ticket, according to Wisconsin Lottery, was one of three $50,000 winners sold in Wisconsin that night, with the others purchased in Elm Grove and Madison.
While the identity of the Hartford winner has not been released, the ticket itself already has a hometown legacy. Wisconsin Lottery retailers receive a two-percent incentive for selling winning tickets over $599, meaning the Hartford Citgo also shares in the good fortune.
The Hartford winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim the prize. Powerball drawings are held Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights, with tickets at $2 per play.
Estimated jackpot for tonight’s drawing is $1.6 billion – the fourth largest in Powerball history and the fifth largest among U.S. lottery jackpots. It is also only the second time Powerball has seen two jackpots exceed $1 billion in the same calendar year.
