January 12, 2026 – Campbellsport, Wi – On Sunday, January 11, 2026, at approximately 9:22 p.m., the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received an automatic crash notification on County Highway W near Industrial Parkway, in the area of the Village of Campbellsport.
Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, along with Campbellsport Fire Department, Campbellsport Ambulance, Campbellsport First Responders, City of Fond du Lac Ambulance (Intercept), and Flight For Life, were dispatched to the scene.
The investigation determined a passenger vehicle was traveling northbound on County Highway W when it failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, traveled down an embankment, and struck a tree.
The operator and sole occupant, a 21-year-old woman from West Bend, Wi, suffered serious injuries and was transported from the scene by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
The operator was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.
The crash remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
