March 26, 2026 – Washington Co., Wi – A symphony on Scenic Drive in West Bend, Wi, as a chorus of frogs signals a sign of Spring.
With 50-degree temps this week, the weather is definitely warming and Mother Nature is showing a brilliant sign of life. What kind of signs are you seeing?

The mighty crocus is pushing through a thin layer of frost and a thick pile of leaves. It really makes you wonder how they do that for something so frail.
The photo below may seem random… but it appears a rabbit is prepping its nest. The location has been home to babies before. Aside from the grassy border, there’s tufts of fir and the space is definitely carved out.

Below is what appeared in the same spot during the third week in April last year. She must feel comfortable to be returning. According to the Internet, the average gestation for a rabbit is 28 to 31 days…. So this timing makes sense.

Also a sign of the season below… However, not as fun as baby bunnies.

A $2.9 million resurfacing and improvement project along WIS 144, between Skyline Drive in the city of West Bend, and the Washington/Sheboygan County line to begin the week of March 30. Early word is, this is part of the planning as a roundabout will be constructed at 144 and CTH H.
