March 31, 2026 – Hartford / West Bend, Wi – Ruby’s Pantry, a non-profit food ministry that operated out of Community Church in West Bend, Wi, and Hartford Bible Church, 621 Abbott Ave., in Hartford, WI, announced Tuesday afternoon it is closing.
The Ruby’s Pantry website posted a message indicating the company had been “realigning the work, structure, and focus of Ruby’s Pantry” over the past few months.
While it appeared the organization was working to “better align community needs” the final result was to “end the operations of Ruby’s Pantry effective immediately.”

The organization started operating out of Community Church in West Bend, WI, 11 years ago. The program helped local families stretch their food budget. A $25 would equal a sizable box of food. Ruby’s Pantry was active in three other states, primarily in the Midwest.
