75th Annual Allenton Picnic plans in full swing | By Ron Naab

Allenton, WI – The 75th annual Allenton Picnic at Veteran’s Park in Allenton, WI, is gearing up for three days of fun from August 19 – 21, 2022.  picnic
The festival kicks off Friday night, August 19, 2022, with a local fish fry served by veterans from the Allenton American Legion Post. Serving options include a dine-in or drive-thru event.

The American Legion needs volunteers to help with preparation including filling tartar sauce and coleslaw cups, and buttering bread. Volunteers will gather at the Allenton Town Hall around 1:30 p.m. on Friday as food will be served starting at 4 p.m.

Saturday will be Family Fun Day with a bags tournament beginning at 11:30 a.m. A “Touch-a-Truck” event rolls out at 2 p.m. featuring big farm implements and much more. There will also be inflatables for the kids including a 75-foot inflatable maze.

Saturday evening Ready 2 Rock will provide music with great food provided by Let’s Get Roasted and corps of volunteers.

Allenton Parade
Sunday begins with the Annual Allenton Parade at 11:30 a.m. followed by a concert in the park. This year’s parade is dedicated to veterans.

Keep an eye out for the Tripoli Shrine Legion of Honor float and local favorite the Slinger High School Marching Band.
