October 11, 2025 – West Bend, Wi – After 35 years in downtown West Bend, Wi, Cho’s Martial Arts is moving.

The change, announced privately to students and families during a Saturday morning belt promotion ceremony, marks both the end of a long chapter and the beginning of an exciting new era for the Cho family.
“We’ve been downtown for over 35 years—my father started that location before I was even born,” said Kaylyn Cho, who helps run the school alongside her father, Grandmaster Won Cho. “It’s been such a big part of our lives and of the community. We’ve watched generations of students come through our doors.”
The current downtown studio, known for its wide front windows and view of Main Street, has become a familiar landmark for West Bend families. Yet, as the downtown area continues to evolve, Cho’s Martial Arts found itself looking for a space that better fits the needs of today’s students and parents.
“Over the years, the downtown atmosphere has changed,” Kaylyn said. “It doesn’t feel quite as family oriented as it used to be, and parking has always been a challenge. We wanted a space that’s safer for children, easier for parents, and gives us room to grow.”
The new facility, located off Highway 33 and 15th Avenue, in West Bend, WI, offers all of that and more.
“It’s going to be a lot bigger and more modern,” Kaylyn said. “We’ll be able to offer some exciting new programs we haven’t offered before. It’s really an opportunity to take what we’ve built and expand on it.”
With between 150 to 200 active members, Cho’s Martial Arts serves students of all ages—from young beginners to adult black belts. While the move brings change, the heart of the program remains the same: a commitment to discipline, respect, and family.
“We know not everyone loves change,” Kaylyn said. “But we’re doing everything we can to make this a positive, exciting experience for everyone. This isn’t the end—it’s a new beginning.”
The official letter to students and families will be sent Monday, with updates to follow on the school’s Facebook page and website.
For now, the Cho family remains grateful for the support of the community that has surrounded them for decades.
“Downtown will always be a part of our story,” said Kaylyn. “But we’re looking forward to this next chapter—and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to our new home.”
The move will occur in mid to late November or early December 2025. More details will be released in the coming weeks.
