February 22, 2022 – Washington Co., WI – Salt trucks have been working overnight to keep roads safe in Washington County, however problems occurred in Jackson as emergency crews tried responding to a call.

KEEP OFF THE ROADS!!! Both JFD ambulance tried to respond to a call and because of the horrible roads were not able to get to the call. A Washington County, Wisconsin Sheriff’s Office deputy was able to get to the residence and he transported the patient to the hospital. JFD personal were able to salt by hand to get one ambulance free. The Washington County HWY dept and Town of Polk salt trucks were able to free the other ambulance with just using salt. Thanks to everyone for their assistance. Luckily no damaged occurred to any of the vehicles. #salty
