Fireworks at Washington County Fair Park sold out

July 24,  2020 – Washington Co., WI – There are fireworks tonight, Friday, July 24 at Washington County Fair Park. While the event is free it is sold out.

There was some misinformation broadcast on Fox 6 this morning and a bulletin with corrections / clarifications is posted below.

Tickets for the event are sold out. If you do not have a ticket, you will not be allowed to park on the grounds.

The Washington County Insider will be live streaming the fireworks and 104.9 WTKM will be playing a soundtrack for them as well.

If a page or person offers to sell you a ticket, it is a scam. The tickets were free.

For those attending with a ticket, here are the facts you need to know:

Couple of updates ahead of the fireworks:

-Gates open at 7 p.m. for parking.

-Enter the grounds at the Hwy PV entrance and have your ticket ready to be scanned. For those with promo tickets (look like a business card- you will enter the grounds through the North Gate entrance off of Hwy P)

-Cars will be parked as they arrive and in the order they arrive. If you want to park near someone else, they would need to be in line with you.

-If you don’t have a ticket, you will not be allowed to enter the grounds.

-Due to the rules we have to follow; the food vendors that are on the grounds are not accessible if you are parked in the exterior lots. Keys Koncessions and Meggers will have some items coming out via a golf cart.

-There will be some tents set up with soda and water available for purchase. No alcohol will be sold by Fair Park or other vendors during the event.

-There will be some Portable bathrooms outside as well.

-You can choose to stay in your vehicle or sit outside your vehicle but we are asking all attendees to stay near their vehicles.

-Fireworks should start at 9:30 p.m.

-Tune in to 104.9 for a fireworks soundtrack provided by WTKM 104.9 FM

-The fireworks will also be live streamed by Washington County Insider

We would like to say thank you again to the amazing sponsors that are making this event possible and free to the community!
