VIDEO | Hartford Union High School candidate forum

Washington Co., WI – Two candidates running for school board at Hartford Union High School participated in a recent voter forum hosted by Common Sense Citizens of Washington County.

James Gumm and Todd Doerfert will be on the April 6, 2021 ballot. They are two of four candidates running for two seats on the board along with Ross Kirley and Bill Savage.

Some of the questions at the forum included: parent involvement in curriculum selection, whether to adopt the proposed 1619 Project, review of virtual learning and its affect on staff and facilities, whether to add instruction time to make up for lost learning, and whether boys should compete in girls sports.

In-person absentee voting begins Tuesday, March 23, 2021 and ends Friday, April 2, 2021.

Election day is Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Polls open 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
