UPDATE | Jackson Law Enforcement issues statement on body found in park this morning

July 16, 2018 – Early this morning, July 16, the Village of Jackson Police, the Medical Examiner and other authorities were summoned to Jackson Park where the body of a deceased male was found by a Jackson police officer.

Jackson Police Chief Jed Dolnick has issued the following update on this incident, “The body of a 35-year-old man was found by a police officer in Jackson Park at about 6:45 AM, Monday.

The death appears to be a suicide, pending an official finding by the Medical Examiner.

Jackson police were assisted by sheriff’s deputies and the State Patrol’s Technical Reconstruction Unit.”
