Students at Decorah Elementary in West Bend got sweaty for a reason Friday as they participated in Jump Rope for Heart. “It’s for the Heart Association,” said Jaden, 8, as he clipped off five jumps in a row.
McKennah, 8, was also a confident skipper. She wore a mask to cover her eyes as an added challenge. “If people are sick we try to help them,” she said.
Students honed their mad jump rope skills in gym class earlier this week. Many raced for the ropes after warming up by doing The Hustle with phy ed teacher Deann Seaman.
The event started around noon according to Isaiah, 9, and Trynity who is 8 but said she’ll soon be 9.
