September 18, 2021 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend School District (WBSD) uses CASEL.org for all student and teacher lessons and is quoted as saying:
• “SEL should be used to favor certain students over others, primarily because of their race.” (Casel President/CEO Karen Niemi 2020 webinar)
• “SEL Competencies can be leveraged to develop justice oriented, global citizens.” (Casel Competencies on casel.org)
• “SEL itself is rooted in Social Justice” (Vice President of Casel, video on casel.org)
The SEL lessons in the District are ONLY accessible to parents by making an appointment to view them at the District Office! They can NOT be found on Canvas or any other school platform!! Why the secrecy? What are they hiding?
• The TRUTH is they are hiding many lessons that ask students to put a FIST IN THE AIR (7th grade lesson Unit 2 Lesson 10)!! Indoctrination of our children!
• The TRUTH is they are hiding fake definitions to words created by casel.org, such as discrimination, harassment, and what rights and responsibilities mean (7th grade lesson Unit 2 Lessons 8-13). Lying to our children!
• The TRUTH is they are hiding loveisrespect.org – telling 12/13 year old to have many partners and “enthusiastic sex.” It is filthy and inappropriate to be teaching children ages 12-13!! (8th grade lesson Unit 4 lesson 25) This is pure pornography!
• The TRUTH is they are hiding teaching our children to become “Disruptors for social and environmental change” and “How to start a movement” (8th grade lesson Unit 2 lessons 8-13
