September 28, 2025 – Farmington, WI – Back in the 80s a popular TV series named Who’s the Boss aired on ABC about a bunch of people thrown together, each with their own ideas on how things should go, with no one clearly the boss, although it often seemed the kids were the smartest ones in the room.

All too often that seems to be the way of the world, a lot of people with a lot of ideas but again the questions become, Who’s the Boss.
Take for example the latest proposal to install High Power Lines across Ozaukee and Washington County. Whose idea was it to trash a path through farms and fields, destroying houses, barns, corn fields, forests and streams and for what? Why, and WHO does it benefit?
It’s been said that there were “informational meetings” held but many were never notified or found out only at the last minute, too late to attend. Not to ask us how we felt, but to tell us what had been decided for us. No one I talked to who went came away with any further insight. Other than it had been predetermined this is what was to be done, again by WHO?
We have been encouraged to write letters voicing our concern and send them in, the question is to who? I can only imagine some underpaid intern, employed to receive these letters and put them in some file or box for someone who might read them but again WHO? And what difference do they make?
We have been given several phone numbers that generally go right to voice mail or answered by a poor slob tasked to give “official responses” but generally knows little else. SO again, WHO’S THE BOSS?
Who can we talk to that is responsible for developing or changing the plan, who’s in charge of the route they are taking and WHY? WHO if anybody is reading our letters, petitions, and resolutions. Who’s in charge, I’m pretty sure it’s not the local representatives as they seem to know less than we do which is practically nothing. And have even less control over the decisions.
We need to know Who’s the Boss. Who decided this needed to be done to us? Who can we talk to that has the answers AND the ability to make needed changes to this proposal. Who exactly decides if or when this plan moves forward and where? Who is providing the money for this and why?
This is our land you can’t just take it to do whatever you want, just because WHO says so?
