September 30, 2020 – Jackson, WI – Maryanne Knapp, nee Wise, of Jackson, died on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at The Kathy Hospice at the age of 78 years. She was born on August 9, 1942 in Milwaukee to the late Willard and Kathleen (nee Clifford) Wise.
She attended local Milwaukee schools and later went on to graduate from Alverno College with a degree in nursing. For many years, she worked as a registered nurse at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. She enjoyed shopping and traveling.
On April 6, 1989, she married Richard Knapp in Wauwatosa. For the past number of years, the couple has made Jackson their home.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 31 years Richard; 2 step-daughters Laura (Les) Presley and Linda (Tim) Shaw; 2 step-grandchildren Dalton Haines and Sadie Haines; 1 step-great-grandson Leo Werden; 1 brother Clifford Wise; 1 nephew Jason Wise; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son David Ecklund and 1 brother Thomas Wise.
A Celebration of Maryanne’s Life will be held at a later date.
