New Perspective – West Bend Tops Area Contributors to Alzheimer’s Association

Sept. 30, 2017 – West Bend, WI — New Perspective Senior Living – West Bend, formerly Lighthouse of West Bend, has set a new record for Washington County donations to the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeast Wisconsin.

Since the beginning of the year it has donated almost $15,000 to the local Alzheimer’s Association chapter and close to $50,000 since 2012.

“New Perspective – West Bend’s efforts on behalf of our mission are truly a role model for other organizations to aspire to,” said Dave Grams, Executive Director, Alzheimer’s Association, Southeast Wisconsin Chapter.

“Anyone who knows our story knows Alzheimer’s is an issue close to our hearts,” said Ryan Novaczyk, New Perspective Senior Living President and CFO. “My grandmother, Betty, fought against this unforgiving disease, and my family’s experience in caring for her was the inspiration behind the founding of our company. Anything we can do to help fight this disease is time and money well spent.”

New Perspective has been the top fundraiser in Washington County for the last two years through a combination of fundraising activities, including participation in the Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s, as well as two events created by the senior community itself.

This year, New Perspective hosted its Third Annual New Perspective Golf Outing held Aug. 17, and the Second Annual New Perspective Senior Living Gala held Sept. 14. Both fundraising events contribute all proceeds to the Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

“We have an incredible team here at New Perspective – West Bend, and they’re the ones that make this possible, “ said John Wiman, New Perspective – West Bend Executive Director. “They’ve embraced this cause, and put a tremendous amount of energy and passion into making these fundraising events the best they can be. I’m extremely proud of them.”
