Edna Josephine Langenecker (Nee Wolf), age 94, passed away at Wellington Place in Hartford, WI on July 25, 2016. She was born to Paul and Genevieve (Nee Benkler) Wolf on March 20, 1922. She married Gilbert Langenecker on November 6, 1945 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Nenno, WI and together they had 5 children.
Edna was born and raised in the Township of Addison, WI. She attended Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School. Edna was employed at Amity Manufacturing Company in West Bend and later at Broan-Nutone in Hartford. She was a member and past president of Saints Peter and Paul Christian Women Society and a member of Resurrection Parish in Allenton. Edna enjoyed sewing and spending time in her flower garden. She especially loved being with her family and participating in their activities.
Edna is survived by her children, Donna (James) Kauper of Allenton, Diane (Robert) Klesmith of Kewaskum, Gary (Dorothy) Langenecker of West Bend and Walter (Julieann) Langenecker of Allenton; grandchildren, Christina (Gregory) Moratz, Steven (Jaime) Kauper, Rhonda (Scott) Prim, John (Jamie) Klesmith, Connie (Michael) Secord, Stacey (Justin) Henkel, Travis (Nicole) Langenecker, Heather (Randy Ehlers) Langenecker, Matthew (Randi Green) Langenecker and Paul Langenecker (Amy Cyra); great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Samantha Kauper, Brandon and Abigail Prim, Anamarie and Jacob Klesmith, Colton, Garrett and Hunter Secord and Paige Langenecker. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gilbert, her daughter Mary Ann; grandson, Adam Langenecker; granddaughter, Jodi Klesmith; sister, Priscilla (Harry) Rettler; brother, Ewald (Valeria) Wolf; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank & Irene Langenecker, Helen & Peter Bodden, Peter & Myra Langenecker, Genevieve & Sebastian Dietenberger, Rosella & Albert Kuechler, Joseph & Leona Langenecker, Philip & Annadel Langenecker and Ann Langenecker; parents-in-law, John & Mathilda Langenecker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:30PM on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N. 8th Ave. West Bend, WI) with Father Werner Wolf, O.F.M. Cap. presiding. Visitation will be at The Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI) on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 4:00-6:00PM. Private family interment.
